UPDATE: MRS LALONG TOOK ADEQUATE CARE OF THE ABATTOIR MOLESTED UNDERAGED GIRLS- Commissioner

As a follow-up on the update published yesterday by The Grassroots Watch blogspot, the said mother of one of the affected girls has tendered an unreserved apology to Plateau State government and her Excellency, Dr Mrs Regina Lalong, wife of the Executive governor of Plateau State for lying that no help came from the government. According to her, "we were told not to mention anything so out of fear and in trying to protect my child from stigma, I was confused." Please help me tell her Excellency that I am sorry. She has tried her best for us, she gave each of us, the parents cash support and parkages for our daughter, she equally promised to sponsor our daughters to school" the mother said. The 8 underaged girls allegedly molested sexually in Abattoir, Jos, Plateau State by a man known as Simon kpefouri also alleged to be a Lebanese have returned home to their parents after being in Plateau State Government custody for about 4 weeks after the incident. One of the parent who spoke with The Grassroots Watch blogspot expressed her disappointment when there is no help in sight. She narrated how her daughter, 13, is facing stigmatization in the society and how a man known as a Pastor almost raped her again. The Plateau State Publishers Association has emerged stronger and more united after its Congress held Sunday at its temporary secretariat, Kalwa shopping mall l, Zarmaganda, Jos. The Congress in its meeting decided to dedolve the Shabul Mazadu caretaker led exco after Godfrey Sunwar moved a motion for the desolution of the exco having expended its 6months tenure within which it was to run the association and conduct an election. UPDATE: A CRY FOR HELP FROM JOS ABATTOIR MOLESTED MINORS.

The sexually molested girls in Jos-Abattior have cried out for help from government, NGO's and good citizens to help them learn a trade while schooling. The Grassroots Watch traced most of the girls to their homes as a follow up to yesterday's event. An 11 year old who is 5 months pregnant said she has never been to any hospital for antenatal care. She disclosed that she use to go and carry out house chores for the said Lebanese and he pays her N200 or N500 but often force her to have canal knowledge of her. Her sister who is also a victim narrated how the man takes advantage of the girls that work for him as househelps. From what The Grassroots Watch deduce from an interview with the minors who are mostly from 15 years bellow, poverty is the bane of the predicament that befeld them.
