I WILL STRIVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE- Dongjur
One of the newly sworn in Permanent Secretaries in Plateau Sate, Mrs Anaesthesia Homsuk Dongjur, who was before this appointment a  Director of Administration from the office of Head of Service on posting to Plateau State Specialist Hospital expressed her feelings after being sworn in today as the Perm Sec Ministry of Environment said

"I feel elated, I feel rewarded because I have put in so many years of service and I have reached the pick of my carrier. I think its a moment of Thanksgiving to the Almighty for this rear privilege because so many go through this same civil service but don't reach where I have reached today so I feel privileged and I thank the Lord Almighty for what He has done today"
When asked if her posting to this ministry is appropriate for her, she reveals "My posting to Ministry of Environment is like home coming to me, it will interest you to know I was in the Ministry of Environment as Director of Admin and I served as acting Permanent Secretary for over a year, so during the Jang administration, we started the monthly environment exercise in Plateau State which was launched then, so I would say with my wealth of experience I would be able to make an impact, I would be able to make a difference and by the grace of God Plateau State will be the better for it".
On what value she can add to the Lalong administration, Dongjur opined that with the new trend of events you can see the cream of new Permanent Secretaries they are people who are vast in their fields of various endeavors, they are people who are experienced so I know that the motor of the State which is "think Plateau, act Plateau" will now be felt more, and being a younger person, the new Head of Service is going to help us realise the dream, and as you have heard, the Governor talked about being computer literate and e-goverment that will be in place, so we know that a lot of issues will be handled without much bureaucratic processes in the system.

SCHOOL OF NURSING LAFIA INDICTED OF MALPRACTICES AND EXTORTION

The School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lafia is currently battling to safeguard its image over alleged sharp practices ranging from exams malpractices and extortion of money from some gullible students. Information available to us indicates that staff of the  prestigious School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lafia, Nasarawa State are facing one form of allegation or the other. A political Juggernaut, Chief Dr Amos Gizo receives in audience 17 former Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) local government chairmen and secretaries in his office in Jos on Monday.
