A political Juggernaut, Chief Dr Amos Gizo receives in audience 17 former Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) local government chairmen and secretaries in his office in Jos on Monday. The former ACN members who have long metamorphosed into APC said their visit to Chief Gizo was to parley with him and further strengthened their relationship having enjoyed a robust working relationship with him when he was the Plateau State Chairman of ACN and later a gubernatorial candidate. After several months of COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions on movement, Plateau State Ministry of Environment has resuscitated the monthly environmental sanitation which is usually observed last Saturday of every month. Even though the exercise was observed on 3rd of July 2012, the early morning rains affected the much expected level of compliance. Those who were caught in the web of non compliance blamed it on poor publicity as they claimed they were not aware the exercise would hold. While monitoring the exercise, The Grassroots Watch noticed defaulters were arrested and prosecuted by mobile courts stationed at different locations within Jos and Bukuru metro.
