PLATEAU: APC APPEALS FOR CALM, SETS UP APPEAL PANEL OVER LG PRIMARIES

Following complains from some irregularities that trailed the just concluded Local Government primary elections in Plateau State, the All Progressive Congress (APC) has appealed for calm.

According to a press released signed and made available to The Grassroots Watch by Mallam Bashir Musa Sati, State Secretary, Caretaker Committee reads in part;
"Following the successful conduct of the APC primary elections, our attention has been drawn to an unauthorized circulation of fake list of purported  winners of the elections on social media"

Members of the party are therefore called upon to disregard the message and avoid making statements that will promote the agenda of mischief makers.
Sati disclosed that this clarification has become necessary in order to ensure that no member of the party is misled.
He further stated that the APC management will use the appropriate channels of communication to announce the results of the party primaries in due course.

"Furthermore, party faithful are adviced to to channel all complains arising from the primaries to the appeal panel at the state party secretariat, as a listening we ensure all our teaming supporters that all complains and grievances will be properly addressed. We hereby urge our members and the general public to remain calm and law abiding" the release reads

SCHOOL OF NURSING LAFIA INDICTED OF MALPRACTICES AND EXTORTION

The School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lafia is currently battling to safeguard its image over alleged sharp practices ranging from exams malpractices and extortion of money from some gullible students. Information available to us indicates that staff of the  prestigious School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lafia, Nasarawa State are facing one form of allegation or the other. A political Juggernaut, Chief Dr Amos Gizo receives in audience 17 former Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) local government chairmen and secretaries in his office in Jos on Monday.
