JOLEX CONSTRUCTION COMPANY CONGRATULATES GOV LALONG ON LAUNCHING OF PROCUREMENT E-PORTAL

JOLEX Construction Nigeria Limited, a jos based construction company has given a thumbs up to the State Governor Simon Lalong for going electronic on procurement of contracts.
The Chief Executive Officer of the company, chief Chinedu Okponwa who expressed his delight to The Grassroots Watch said "The deployment of e-portal for public procurement by the Governor of Plateau State, Rt Hon Dr Simon Bako Lalong  through Plateau State Bureau of Public Procurement is a very good development and a sign of improvement like it is done in other developed countries, adding that things are no longer done manually and for what the Governor has done, people will now have more confidence in this administration because it will eliminate issues of favoratism, bribery and corruption when it comes to bidding of contracts thereby making it more transparent".
Okponwa added "Most times people are scared of bidding because they feel they don't have or know anybody in government to help them secure a contract even when they have the relevant papers that qualify them to win a contract".
He further stated that "This deployment of e-portal is very encouraging and I am very happt  as a contractor because it is easier to log into the portal and submit your documents and everybody will see the process which is transparent unlike when it was manual which has many lapsses".
The construction mogul who has done several business with Plateau State government while expressing his joy said "For me I am very happy that this development is coming at this time even though there is no money for the government to execute projects as they wish.I congratulate his excellency Governor Simon Lalong for this achievement, I welcome it and am ever ready to key into it".

SCHOOL OF NURSING LAFIA INDICTED OF MALPRACTICES AND EXTORTION

The School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lafia is currently battling to safeguard its image over alleged sharp practices ranging from exams malpractices and extortion of money from some gullible students. Information available to us indicates that staff of the  prestigious School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lafia, Nasarawa State are facing one form of allegation or the other.
