GIZO RECEIVES A ROUSING WELCOME FROM KANAM LG APC EXCO AND SUPPORTERS.
In demonstration of a popular saying that charity begins at home, Chief Dr Amos Gizo, an APC gubernatorial aspirant from Gidgid, KANAM Local Government Area has today Saturday 11th December 2021 made a triumphant entry into Dengi, headquarters of Kanam LGA to formally notify the APC Executive Committee of the party of his intentions to vie for the coveted office of the Governor of Plateau State come 2023.
Chief Gizo who is an illustrious son of Kanam, doubles as the Ajiyan Kanam, Wakilin Jahr, and Magajin garin Gidgid, has recently earned the overwhelming support of the Emir of Kanam, the Ra'an Jahr,the Pankwal Bohgom and the Executive Chairman of Kanam LGC, amongst other major stakeholders as the only gubernatorial candidate to have emerged from Kanam LGA.
While addressing the APC party Exco and numerous supporters who turned out emerse to welcome him home said he has to start from home because charity begins at home.
Gizo narrated how he started his political journey in Kanam 45 years ago where he contested for the position of Councilor in 1976, adding that since then he has ensured and facilitated the election of no fewer that 6 Council chairmen in the Local Government Council.
Gizo adds that his ambition should be seen as a quest for Kanam and Plateau State and enjoins Kanam people to support his ambition to bring the needed development to the area and state at large.
"I believe in a one APC family and I don't belong to any faction, I therefore charge the APC leadership in Kanam to burry any factional grouping in Kanam for a united APC" Gizo said.

In his response, the APC Chairman of Kanam represented by the deputy Chairman, Hon Dauda Maimako said Chief Gizo has contributed immensely towards the growth and development of APC and the Local Government Area over the years and deserves total support of his people. 
Maimako charges Gizo and his supporters to eschew the politics of bitterness and imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship.
Gizo equally paid a condolence visit to the National Secretary of Jahr Development Association, Alhaji S S Mohammed over the demise of his son and uncle.
Chief Gizo had a great time inaugurating Councilors of defunct ACN, women and youth groups from all the 20 wards in Kanam LGA who have sworn to work for victory at the polls.
The visit was greeted by a mammoth crowd who came out to welcome him home.

SCHOOL OF NURSING LAFIA INDICTED OF MALPRACTICES AND EXTORTION

The School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lafia is currently battling to safeguard its image over alleged sharp practices ranging from exams malpractices and extortion of money from some gullible students. Information available to us indicates that staff of the  prestigious School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lafia, Nasarawa State are facing one form of allegation or the other. A political Juggernaut, Chief Dr Amos Gizo receives in audience 17 former Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) local government chairmen and secretaries in his office in Jos on Monday.
