GIZO CONDEMNS ABDUCTION OF SUM PYEM, CALLS FOR PRAYERS FOR HIS IMMEDIATE RELEASE.
Chief Dr Amos Gizo, a lover of peace and an APC gubernatorial aspirant in Plateau State on Thursday 30th December 2021 led a powerful delegation of his campaign organisation on a visit to commiserate with the Pyem traditional council over the recent abduction of its Paramount ruler the Sum Pyem, His Royal Highness, Charles Mato Dakat.
Dr Gizo and his team who were received at the Sum Pyem's palace in Gindiri by the Hakimin Chanso, Abdulkarim Artu, along with other traditional rulers in the chiefdom said the news of the abduction came to him with shock, saying this dastard act is highly condemnable.
Dr Gizo while calling on peace loving people of Plateau State to pray fervently for the safe and immediate release of the monarch said the monarch has been a close friend to him and he is known for his kind and peaceful disposition.
He explained that Pyem chiefdom and Kanam nation where he hails from share a similar composition of both Christians and Muslims peacefully interwoven.
He enjoins other areas in Plateau to emulate such peaceful cohabitation and work hand in hand towards a more peaceful and united Plateau.
In his response on behalf of the the traditional council, the Hakimim Chanso, Alhaji Abdulkarim Artu thanked Dr Gizo and his team for identifying with them in their trying moment.
The traditional ruler expressed dismay over the abduction of their monarch whom he described as a humble,kind and peaceful leader who always carries the burden of others.
Artu further charged Dr Gizo to put it on his front burner, practical ways of solving insecurity challenges even before he becomes the governor of Plateau state if God wills.
