PEACE AWARD BESTOWED ON LALONG BY PPA IS MERITED- Arlat.

The Chairman, Plateau State Board of Internal Revenue Service, Mr Dashe Arlat has affirmed that the award on Peace bestowed on Governor Lalong by the Plateau Publishers Asdociation is merited and is not politically motivated.

While in a chat with newsmen on Sunday, Arlat diaclosed that Governor Simon Bako Lalong merits the award given to him on promotion of peace by the Plateau Publishers Association (PPA)

According to him, "You can see other states are coming to learn from Plateau State because many governors use to ask how he manage  the State in terms of peace seeing that Plateau was a very volatile state.
Arlat revealed that when Givernor Lalong came in he set up the  Plateau Peace Building Agency  and there were a lot of engagements with people and they begin to understand themselves adding that "there is something about peace, it is just understanding, once you understand your bounds then you  can coperate with one another because human beings cannot operate in isolation but once you know your bounds you know what is expected of you, you will respect one another. So the governor build up that trust within the people and the community of Plateau State. So, he has earned the award very well"
It would be recalled that the Plateau Publishers Association had taken the Governor by surprise after a media parley he had with Journalists in Jos last week by bestowing on him a meritorious award for peace, a development  the Governor gladly accepted.
Governor Lalong is seen to have worked assiduously towards restoring and maintaining a lasting peace in the once troubled State, and has now become a model to other States who troop in to borrow the a leaf.
